Maurice Stadtfeld

Crozer Theological Seminary Student

Notes: This is a photo of Maurice Stadtfeld. He was born 20 July 1862. Writing on the back of the picture indicates it was taken at Crozer Theological Seminary. Maurice is my great grandfather.

From his obituary:
"Maurice ... graduated in 1890 from Crozer Theological Seminary, Chester, Penn. He was married the same year [to Sophia Standerwick] and was assigned a baptist parish in Minnesota where he remained for three years. Then he went to South Dover, N.Y., for a five year term, then going to Chester, Conn., following this pastorate with seven years at Phenix Baptist Church [Rhode Island].

"From Phenix he went to Brooklyn N.Y., to Euclid Avenue Baptist Church, and then to Brewster, N.Y., where he was pastor for 13 1/2 years. He retired in March, 1932 ..."
