Timothy Howley, 70, of Absecon, N.J., a former long time resident of the Chester area, died April 21 at Summers Point, N.J.

Born in New York City, N.Y., Mr. Howley was the son of the late James and Rose Crisetti Howley. The operator of Howley Real Estate for more than 30 years, he had offices in Collingdale and Clifton Heights before his retirement from real estate in 1983.

Mr. Howley was educated at the former Pennsylvania Military College of Chester. He was a member of the Delaware County Association of Realtors, the Marine Corps League and Alfred Stevenson Post 190, American Legion.

A World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Howley also was a member of the Moyamensing Jr. Fire Co., Chester.

Surviving are his former wife, Helen W. Welsh Howley; a son, Timothy M. Howley of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy J. Logan of Absecon, N.J.; a brother, Chris Howley, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the William S. Bleyler Funeral Home, 500 W. 22nd St., Upland. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Marple. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Notes: Mr. Howley was born 11/14/1924.
