Text of Obituary: 

Robert E. Albert, 61, of Twin Oaks, Upper Chichester, an employee of Concord Beverage Co., died Jan. 15 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

Born in Clearfield, Pa, Mr. Albert lived in Twin Oaks for the last 25 years. Earlier, he lived in the Feltonville section of Chester Township. A 1953 graduate of Eddystone High School, Mr. Albert was employed at Concord Beverage Co. for the last 19 years as a forklift driver. Earlier, he was employed by Reynolds Metals Co. until the plant closed.

Mr. Albert served with the National Guard during peacetime. He was a longtime member of the Boy Scouts of America and a former softball captain for DJ's Tavern. A life member and a volunteer fireman at Feltonville and Hanley Hose fire companies, Mr. Albert also served as president and treasurer of the Over the Hill Gang. He enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Karen L. Schlipf Albert; two sons, Jason Albert of Twin Oaks and Edward Brooks of Linwood; three brothers, Edmund Albert of Morrisdale, Pa., James Albert of Columbus, Ohio, and Leslie Albert of Mahaffey, Pa.; two sisters, Joan Ribeiro of Twin Oaks, Upper Chichester, and Betty Hinson of Wilmington, Del.; one granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Robert Moreland Funeral Home, Ninth and Main streets, Trainer. Burial follows in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester. Calling is from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and after 9:309 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
