Louis Peticca, 75, of Selbyville, Del., a retired PennDOT foreman, died Oct. 19 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del.

Born in Chester, Mr. Peticca was the son of the late Marco and Rosa Cappaso Peticca. He lived in Upper Chichester for 22 years before moving to Selbyville in 1979.

Mr. Peticca was employed by PennDOT for 29 years and retired as a foreman in 1979. He also was the owner of the Peticca Tavern in Twin Oaks for many years. A lifetime member of the Franklin Fire Co., Mr. Peticca enjoyed crabbing and fishing and was very close to his pets, Louis and Laney.

He also belonged to St. Luke's Church, Ocean City, Md.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Elaine Griffin Peticca; two sons, Louis Peticca of Oxford and Anthony Peticca of Concordville; a daughter, Rosalie Wanner of Georgetown, Del.; three brothers, Fiore Peticca of Ridley Park, John Peticca of Upland and Marco Pettica Jr. of Brookhaven; two sisters, Mary Mingone of Upper Darby and Theresa Volpe of Spring Hill, Fla.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He also was the brother of the late Charles Peticca, Frances Peticca and Anthony Peticca.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ward Funeral HOme, 1459 Market St., Linwood, where there is a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial is in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.

Contributions in his name may be made to the Renal Care Center of Millsboro, 214 W. Dupont Highway, Millsboro, Del. 19966, in care of Diane Dill, social worker.

Notes: Mr. Peticca was born 9/19/1921.
