Text of Obituary: 

James E. Lamb Jr., 91, a lifelong Chester resident and a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War, died Feb. 19.

Mr. Lamb served as a city councilman for eight years.

Educated at the former St. Michael School, he was also a plumbing inspector for Chester as well as a plumber for 20 years.

Mr. Lamb was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1521 of Chester. He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion Stevenson-Baxter Post 190.

Mr. Lamb was a member of the Blessed Katharine Drexel Church in Chester.

He was a member of the Moyamensing Fire Company. He started the Moyamensing Junior Fire Company and was an original trustee.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Helen M. ???lager Lamb; three sons, Charles H. Lamb of ???, James E. Lamb II of Northampton and Joseph Lamb of Horsham; a daughter, Susan E. Hartm?? Glenolden, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the James M. Brower Funeral Home, 908 S. Providence Road, Wallingford. Burial will be private. Calling hours are from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 600 N. Jackson St., Media, PA 19063.
