Text of Obituary: 

James Dill, 81, of Woodlyn, Ridley Township, died April 13 at Taylor Hospital.

Born in Felton, Del., Mr. Dill lived in the Woodlyn section of Ridley Township for 38 years. He was a supervisor with Greif Brothers in Twin Oaks for 45 years, retiring in 1985. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and received a Purple Heart.

Mr. Dill was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Felton. He was also a former member of the Felton Fire Co.

Survivors: Wife, Lillian Gillen Dill, son Richard Dill of Woodlyn, daughter, Deborah J. Lawley of Collingdale; brother, Archie Dill of Harrington, Del., sisters, Anna Daniels of Felton, Hilda Donovan of Houston, Del., Jane Walls of Greensboro, Md., Linda Ellis of Laurel, Del.; three grandchildren.

Service: 11:30 a.m. Friday, Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood.

Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park, Concord.

Visitation: After 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Contributions: Prospect United Methodist Church, Eighth and Lincoln avenues, Prospect Park, PA 19076.

Notes: Mr. Dill was born 4/13/1918.
