Text of Obituary: 

Howard H. Wilson Jr., 67, of Eddystone, a retired employee of the former Phoenix Steel Co., Claymont, Del., and a court security guard, died June 17 at Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park.

Born in Chester, Mr. Wilson lived in the city and in Claymont, Del., before moving to Eddystone three months ago. He was a roll grinder at the former Phoenix Steel plant for 35 years before retiring in 1987. He then was a security guard at the Wilmington (Del.) Court House.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the former Moyamensing Fire Co., Chester, the Delaware County Firemen's Association, and was a Cub Scout leader in Chester for many years.

His wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Kindt Wilson, died in 1989. Surviving are two sons, Howard H. Wilson 3d of National Park, N.J., and George E. Wilson of Rochester, N.Y., a daughter, Shirley J. Turner of Carlisle, Ohio; a brother, Samuel H. Wilson of Eddystone; a sister, Louise Maher of Aston; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Robert Moreland Funeral Home, 9th and Main streets, Trainer. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester. Calling will be after 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Notes: Mr. Wilson was born 5/4/1928.
