Text of Obituary: Benjamin "Benny" Artymovicz, 73, of Chester, a retired welder, died March 23 at the Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Born in Chester, he resided in the city all his life. Mr. Artymovicz was a welder at the Sun Oil Co. refinery in Marcus Hook for 36 years, retiring in 1978.

He was a volunteer firefighter at the Felton Fire Co. in Chester for many years, and was a member of Sun's Sapphire Club.

He is survived by two sisters, Sophie Piper and Laura Artymowicz, both of Chester.

The funeral and calling hours will be 8 a.m. Thursday at the Kanefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 West Ninth St., Trainer. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Hedwig's Church, Fourth and Hayes streets, Chester.

There are no calling hours this evening.

Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Lower Chichester.

Memorial contributions may be made in the form of Mass Cards or memorial gifts to the church.
