Andrew L. Stalczynski Jr., 18, of Aston, a 1993 graduate of Sun Valley High School, died June 27 at home.

A former student of the Old Forge School for the disabled in Middletown, he was the first person to graduate from Sun Valley while on a life-support system.

Born in Chester, where he lived for the first 16 years of his life, Mr. Stalczynski moved to Aston two years ago. He was a member of Upland Baptist Church and the 4-H Club of Media. He also belonged to Chester Firefighters Local 1400 since 1985 and served as the local's poster child since then.

Surviving are his mother, Doris Adams Nelling, and her close friend, Mark Vantine, with whom he lived in Aston; an uncle, John Mister of Chester; four aunts, Myra Chiles of Concordville, Mary Novak of Trainer, Theodorsia Barkley of Chester and Tina Adams of Aston; and a number of cousins.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Upland Baptist Church, 3rd and Main streets, Upland, where there is a calling hour from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.

Memorial gifts may be sent to the Ventilator Assisted Home Program, 100 N. 20th St., Suite 200, Philadelphia, Pa. 19103; Attention Martha Parra.

Notes: Mr. Stalczynski was born 10/21/1975.
