John F. Owens

John F. Owens, a Chester patrolman since March, 1949, is the current president of the Chester Police Association and Fraternal Order of Police. He assumed office this year.
Owens is a veteran of two years service with the U.S. Army with overseas duty in Philippines and Japan.
Born June 22, 1920 in Chester, he attended the public schools here.
He's married to the former Betty Jones of Cambridge, Md., and they have one son, John F. Jr., 5. They live at 803 Potter st.
A member of the Moyamensing Fire Co., he formerly worked at Sun Ship.
