The fingerprint expert on the Chester Police Force is Samuel L. D'Amato, on the force since Dec. 10, 1941 and a detective since Nov. 26, 1945.

In his capacity, D'Amato fingerprints and photographs all persons arrested in the city. He then maintains an information file on each one.

D'Amato, who is 44, is married to the former Myrtle Winfree, sister of Capt. Howard Winfree. They have three children: Mrs. Shirley Ann Weiser, Samuel L. Jr., 15, a junior at St. James High; and Faye D., 9, 4th grade student at St. Anthony's.
