Patrolman Joseph D. Talarico was appointed to the Chester Police Department in July, 1948, and has been assigned to prowl car duty ever since.

Born Feb. 24, 1916, in Chester, he attended the parochial schools here.

During World War II, he served 44 months in the U.S. Army and saw service in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany.

Talarico's previous occupation was as a drill press operator for Westinghouse. He's married to the former Angela Petrillo. They live at 1149 Edgmont av.
