Anthony W. Iacono of 1212 W. 2nd st, was appointed to police force in July, 1948.

A veteran of two years' service, he was with the 9th Infantry Division for 19 months in Europe, winning four battle stars on his theater ribbon.

Born in Chester on July 11, 1925, he attended the public schools here, graduating from Chester High School in 1944. Prior to his appointment to the police force he worked at various jobs.

Single, he lives with his mother, Mrs. Josephine Iacono. An avid football fan, all sports draw his interest as a spectator.
