William P. Hamilton, Jr.

William P. Hamilton, Jr. still plays a fast game of basketball in his leisure time from police duties.

Hamilton, 25, has been on the police force for 13 months now. Prior to joining the force he worked at the Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp. in the tender shop.

Born in Chester, he attended the public schools here and attended the veterans training program at Chester High School.

He went into the Army on Nov. 13, 1945, and served until Jan. 1, 1950. During and after World War II he served in Germany with the 3511th Trucking Co., attached to the 3rd Army. He held the rank of corporal as a supply clerk.

He is single and lives with an uncle at 214 Edwards st.
