Lifelong Upland Resident


Edward W. Dalton, 80, husband of Margaretta W. Dalton, died this morning at his home,1103 Woodside Ave., Upland.  He had been ill for 10 days.  Mr. Dalton was born in Upland and had lived there all his life. He was formerly an engineer at Baldwin's Locomotive Works and with Platte LePage, Eddystone, prior to his retirement five years ago.  He was a member of the Upland Baptist Church.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by three sons, Harman V. of West Chester, Edward W. Jr., at home, and Joseph of Garden City, two daughters, Mrs. Margaretta Jackson of Parkside, and Catherine at home; two brothers, Joseph H. of Upland, and George of Ridley Park; 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from Ray F. Imschweiler's funeral parlors, 1600 Edgmont Av. Burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening.
