Where's the Notre Dame Class of '79 Harambee Day, wear your class colors, spring concert, Miss Basile's dramatic arts class, get off my senior steps, here comes Mr. Janasik with those demerits, please make Sr. Miriam stop flicking her fingernails at me, modular system, typing test, sneaking off the grounds for lunch spirit? To date there has been a 20% response to the reunion invite. I am still hoping that our class will rally and come together for our 25th reunion. I pulled out my yearbook when we first started the planning process and really got enthused about seeing old friends and catching up with people that I hadn't seen in so very long. Some we went to grade school with as well as through the 4 years at ND. The school itself is closed but just as the congregation IS the church, WE were the school and we are all part of each others' lives by virtue of the fact that we are THE CLASS OF 1979. (I mean this to include those who started with us in September 1975 as well as those who joined us along the way). Some of followed in our mothers' footsteps to become ND alums; what a tradition! I have been in touch with several of our classmates that I hadn't talked to since we graduated and who belonged to different crowds than I did but we're all 42-43 year old women who've weathered the ups and downs of the past 25 years and have great things to share - for some that includes sharing the fact that they didn't like me back then but now I'm not so bad.... What I sincerely wish for my classmates is that you attend the reunion and reconnect with at least one old friend. I promise you it will be an uplifting experience. I could swear that I remember our class as having plenty of ND SPIRIT!!!! Please come out on the 13th of November and share in a special evening!!

Hi everyone! It's nice to see everyone is doing well after all these years. I'm doing well also. I married a great guy which some of you may know him from St. Roberts, Dan Allvord. We have two boys Dylan who is 12 and Dalton who is 8. They really keep me going. We just recently moved to Lancaster Co. from Aston Pa after 14 years and love it. It was an adjustment for the boys leaving St. Joseph's to public schools but they like it. I have seen a few people from N.D.. Ann Canzanese who is also Dan's cousin, Kim DeAngelis our boys went to St. Joe's together and Scouts. Jackie Gretto, Judy Bissinger, Lisa Lesley, Denise Litwa and Debbie Brooks. Some of them I still see and speak to often.

Hello everyone.
Just wanted to express how excited I am about the reunion next year. I personally was looking towards working on the planning committee, until I received a phone call from Therese Greeway-Dodds. Therese expressed to me (after I told her that I was planning on attending the planning meeting on Thursday)"too many hands in the mix don't make for a good pudding". So with that being said, I am taking my "hands" out of the mix. I hope the planning goes smoothly and that the pudding turns out to be perfect, especially with one less pair of hands..........
It's amazing to me that after 25 years, some things....(attitudes especially) just don't change.

Had a great time on Saturday at Dogs on the Dunes. Drove there with Shawn, saw Lisa Leslie Garman and Debbie Brooks and connected with quite a few of "the guys" from Chester...St. Roberts, St. Hedwigs, etc. I had been trying to ignore the rude remark that someone had posted under my name but which I knew was actually directed to me but "Pierre" mentioned on Saturday that he'd assumed it was me who posted it.....so I just want to tell my classmates and anyone else who reads this message board that I did not post the following on March 20 "You didn't care in high school, so why now?" That message was meant to be a jab AT me not FROM me. Anywho, it was so great connecting with some of the folks I grew up with on Saturday and I really hope we'll have an awesome 25th reunion. Glad to hear from you. Three boys...wow! I have one. He will be 17 on Jan. 8th. He is currently attending Cardinal O'Hara. He's great however teenage years have been very difficult, or in the words of my mother "trying" especially since I am a single parent. My parents have been wonderful with helping me raise him.
I agree that the city has really gone down hill. It's really a shame. I spend most of my time in Philadelphia. My parents will never leave here :)

I am LIving in AL, my husband Jon is a flight instructor at Ft. Rucker. I have 3 boys, Joshua 21, Eric 18 and Michael 15. Josh is in college Eric a senior, and mike in 9th grade. I homeschooled them and they are doing great and are a delight to thire parents, Most of the time. We were up this past CHristmas which is when my sister informed me of this site, and i sent my first note. I am now back home in AL.
