Edna E. Thomas, 101, a former Chester resident, died Feb. 22 at her residence in Claymont, Del.A homemaker, she was the widow of Frank R. Thomas, who died in 1966.
Born in Chester, she was the daughter of William Elias Eby and Marie Christina Pressler.
She is survived by one daughter, Leta T. Massey of Wilmington, Del; four granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McCrery Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville, Del., where friends may call after 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Chester Rural Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Habitat for Humanity of New Castle, 900 Washington St., Wilmington, Del. 19801; or to St. Paul United Methodist Church 1314 Foulk Road, Wilmington, Del. 19803.
[Edna Mae Eby was a member of CHS Class of 1914. She had two brothers, Edward Daniel Eby and Harold Pressler Eby, and one sister, Margaret Eby brother, Harold Pressler Eby was a member of CHS Class of 1917 and Edward Daniel Eby was a member of the Class of 1912. DHB]
