Chester Times 13 March 1941 Benjanin Franklin Sawyer Benjamin Franklin Sawyer, Sr., 80, died today at his home on Eighth Street, Upland, exactly two months after the death of his wife, the late Harriet E. West Sawyer, who died on January 13. Mr. Sawyer was born in Michigan and came to Upland from Virginia over 60 years ago. He worked in the Crozer mills for many years, and at one time operated a butcher wagon in the borough. Although not in good health for several years, he had been confined to his bed for only a week. He is survived by 10 children: Mrs. Walter Jackson, Mrs. Alfred Wilson, and Mrs. George Crothers, of Upland; Mrs. Ralph Cruthers, of Vineland, N. J.; Mrs. Earl Phillips of Prospect park; Mrs. William Collins, of Middletown Township; Mrs. Horace Brewin, Mrs. John Loughead, and Mr. Frank Sawyer, of Chester. There are 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren surviving. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 o'clock, from the funeral
home of Ray Imschweiler of Chester, with interment in Upland Baptist cemetery. Rev. Guy C. Heyl, pastor of the
Baptist Church, will conduct the
