Lucy J. Phillips

Lucy J. Phillips, 93, of Upland, a retired telephone operator, died May 22 at Dock Terrace Nursing Home, Lansdale.

Born and raised in Upland, Mrs. Phillips resided there until moving to Lansdale in 1989. She was employed as the chief telephone operator for the former Professional Business Answering Service of Chester.

Mrs. Phillips was a lifetime member of Upland Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Charles C. Phillips, Jr., who died in 1987.
Survivors: Son, Charles C. Phillips, III of Tucson, Ariz; three
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Service: 10a. m. today, James Brower Funeral Home, 908 S. Providence Road, Wallingford, Nether Providence.

Burial: Chester Rural Cemetery
