Text of Obituary: 

Marion Zatznewski, 78, a veteran of the Spanish American War, died Monday at his home, 608 McIlvain Street, after a long illness.

Mr. Zatznewski was born in Bobruwnyk, Poland, and came to this country as a boy of 17. He first settled in the coal regions of Pennsylvania, then came to Delaware County 38 years ago. He formerly was employed by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp.

Mr. Zatznewski was a member of Edmund Lynch Camp No. 94, Spanish American War Veterans. He was a member of St. Hedwig's Catholic Church.

The husband of the late Helen Zatznewski, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Marian Bowen, of Teaneck, New Jersey and Mrs. Agnes Rose, of Brookhaven Park, a son, Marion, Jr. at home, two brothers: Joseph of Lima, and Zygmund of New York and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 9 AM Thursday from the funeral home of John L. Clancy, 9th and Upland Streets, with solemn mass of requiem at St. Hedwig's at 10. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Notes: Mr. Zatznewski was the grandfather of Gene "Zac" Zacniewski.
