Text of Obituary: Ludwig A. Krasowski Age 93, Known lovingly by family and friends as "LU" died Thursday, March 22 at Life Center Nursing in West Chester Pa. Born in Chester Pa.

He lived in the city West End for most of his life until retirement he then moved to Newfield, NJ. While in NJ, LU was diagnosed with Cancer, He moved to Wilmington De, to be closer to Medical Facilities in Chester Pa.

LU was employed by the Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton (locomotive manufacturer) and Sun Ship Building Co. as a Welder in Dept. 38. LU, served in the US Navy in World War II and the Korean War. While on one mission, he recalls one Pilot flying his plane into the ship, as the two men he was with firing a machine gun, were killed he had to seek shelter due to the low flying of the plane. LU greatest achievement was building first home from the ground up on West Tenth Street. LU was an active member of St. Hedwig's Holy Name Society, a church usher, A man of Malvern and performing for the annual Bernadine Nun's Christmas Party. LU was the son of the late Peter and Pauline (Bilinska) Krasowski. He was preceded in death by his Loving wife of 62 years "Helen (Cylc) Krasowski, brothers Casmir Krasowski, and Edward (Krause) Krasowski, and Sister's Laura Krasowski, Louise Knox Hebster.

Survivors: Son Peter J. Krasowski of Newfield, NJ, Dr. Joseph Krasowski of Bellings Montana and daughter Paulette Sacher of Wilmington De, two sister's Frances and Wanda of Brookhaven, Pa. and a half-brother Michael of West Chester Pa. Seven grandchildren and Three great grand children. Mass: 7:30 PM Wednesday, at St. Helena's Catholic Church 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, De. Visitation at the church from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Burial will be at St. Peter's and Paul's Cemetery Springfield, Pa. Contributions to St. Helena's Church Operating Fund. Arrangement by Kaniefski, Kendus D'Anjolell Memorial Home, Trainer, Pa.
