Text of Obituary: Robert Allen Fry, 40, a traffic manager for William A. Schmidt & Son Inc., died on Aug. 15 at his Aston home.

Born in Upland, he lived in Chester most of his life, moving to Aston eight years ago. He attended Nether Providence High School. For 25 years, he worked for William A. Schmidt & Son Inc. in Chester. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Fry was an avid bowler and was in the various bowling leagues in the county. He was a lifetime member of Felton Fire Co., Chester and was a great lover of animals.

Surviving are his widow, the former Margaret Rita Begley; two daughters, Theresa Fry and Bridget Fry, both of Brookhaven; a step-daughter, Lisa Marie Lamb of Dover, DE; three step-sons, Robert L. Mizell and Richard D. Mizell, both of Boothwyn and Ronald W. Mizell of Wallingford; his father, Theodore R. Fry Sr., of Keystone Heights, Fla.; a brother, Theodore R. Fry Jr. of Orange Park, Fla.; a half sister, Robin Lloyd and a grandson, Stephen Saddler of Claymont, Del.

He was the brother of Barry V. Fry who died in 1983.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown (Route 352) and Knowlton Roads, Middletown with burial in Edgewood Memorial Park, Concord. Calling hours will be after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
