Text of Obituary: 

James A. Ciprani, 67, of Chester, died Dec. 1, at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland.

Born, raised and educated in Chester, Mr. Ciprani graduated from Chester High School in 1950.

He was a retired sheet metal worker for A.J. Schmidt Co. in Chester, where he was employed for many years.

Mr. Ciprani was a volunteer firefighter for the Franklin Fire Co. He was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chester.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are a sister, Yolanda Calderoni of Wallingford; a brother, Anthony Ciprane of Claymont, Del.; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, the Swanson family of Chester. He was the son of the late Lorenzo and Chiara Passerini Ciprani and the brother of the late William Ciprani.

The Funeral Mass win be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church, Providence Road, Wallingford.

Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Chester. Calling will be after 8 a.m. Friday at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 2316 Providence Ave., Chester.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, 625 West Ridge Pike, Building A, Suite 100, Conshohocken. PA 19428.

Notes: Mr. Ciprani was born 3/15/1930.
