"After the war my dad went to work in the propeller shop at BLH where he was employed until March of 1971. There was a foundry and a pattern shop next to the propeller shop which was on the Industrial Highway side of the site. The turbine shop was on the Chester Pike side and the building ran parallel to the Pike.

I have attached a picture of a propeller which is purported to be for the USS Forrestal. You can see in the lower left hand corner that the date is 3/8/51 which is about the time the Forrestal was being built. My dad is first on the left kneeling.
